Zodiac Sign - Sagittarius

Astrology has always been an interesting topic. Whether you follow it religiously, or read your horoscope for fun. There is a definite entertaining aspect to it. Although, even reading your sign as entertainment, there are some attributes that seem more than coincidental.

Sagittarius marks the ninth sign of the Zodiac. It is represented by the Centaur. Famous for being half-man, half-beast, and first appearing in Greek mythology. The horse part symbolises the physical nature of the person. Whereas the human part pertains to the intellect of a person. To boot, it is shown with arrows. This illuminates that the Sagittarian always striving towards constant challenges and goals in life.

Being a Mutable sign, Sagittarius is seen as a double-bodied sign. Much like the other Mutable signs, Gemini, Virgo and Pisces. The double-bodied nature comes from bridging two seasons. In the case of Sagittarius, it bridges the Autumn and Winter seasons in the Northern hemisphere. As such, Mutable signs can be unstable and of no resolution.

Just like Pisces, Sagittarius is ruled by Jupiter. To the Romans, Jupiter was the ruler of the gods, and as such was their guardian and protector. Thus, Jupiter, as a god, was symbolised by the thunderbolt. Within astrology, Jupiter pertains to growth, expansion, prosperity and good fortune. Also, foreign travel, religion and the law are represented by this planet. To boot, the urge for freedom and exploration are aspects of the planet.

Sagittarians have a sense of fun and freedom. They are also very personable and extroverted. They find pleasure in creating positive situations for other people. So, Sagittarians can find enjoyment in work that utilises these traits. Jobs such as performance art, public speaking, or even just care work can strike up a Sagittarian's interest.

Sure, Sagittarius lends an open-mindedness and trust to those born in this sign. Yet, there are times when they are too frank and are tactless in expressing themselves. Other signs find Sagittarians to be too upfront with their words. Also, when a Sagittarian is bored, their recklessness comes to light as well. In these instances, a Sagittarian can be too overbearing.

Each star sign is associated with one of the physical elements. Sagittarius is one of the Fire signs. Thus, Sagittarius is known to have lots of intuition and passion. The passion of the Fire flows into Sagittarians. The flames of the passionate Fire burns inside them. Such is the Fire, that it flares up when inspiration ignites in the Sagittarian. Like Fire, Sagittarians burn long into the night.

Being as personable and fun, it's quite easy for Sagittarians to find romantic compatibility. Sagittarius works well with other Fire signs (Aries and Leo) and Air signs (Gemini, Libra and Aquarius). With astrology, Sagittarians are one of two types, Intellectual or Sporty. Mixing well with people of similar interests, they can still draw in many people. Non-platonic relationships flourish when going beyond the physical and share many interests.

It seems Sagittarius has the power to attract masses of people. Extroverted, yet personable, they appear alluring to others. Avoiding claustrophobic situations, they move around, becoming malleable. Sagittarians provide fun to those around.
